The direction came at a high-level meeting, attended by Munda’s security advisor D.N. Gautam, state police chief G.S. Rath, Chief Secretary S.K. Chaudhary and other senior officials.

“Munda directed officials to complete the necessary formalities so that a person can lodge FIR online from Nov 15,” an official told IANS.

“It was also decided to constitute a cyber crime cell in the state. The meeting also decided to strengthen the information network of police in Maoist-affected areas,” said the official.

Munda also spoke to district police chiefs through video conferencing.
