Kolkata : Two directors and an official of the AMRI Hospital jailed in connection with a fire tragedy that claimed 94 lives were granted bail Monday.
Manish Goenka and Ravi Todi, who were in custody for 116 days, were granted bail by a division bench of the Calcutta High Court.
Pritha Banerjee, vice president, arrested Jan 23 was granted bail by the court of district judge (Alipore) A. Bhattacharya.
Of the 16 accused in the case, 12 are directors and the rest senior officials of the hospital. All of them have been charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
So far, seven, including five directors, have been granted bail.
Three board members — Aditya Agarwal, Preeti Surekha and Rahul Todi — are absconding.
