Shehla murder: Congress demands arrest of BJP legislator

Bhopal : Hundreds of Congressmen cadres Thursday demanded the arrest of Bhartiya Janata Party legislator Dhruv Narayan Singh, after Zahida Parvez, the prime accused in RTI activist Shehla Masood’s murder, alleged that he was deeply involved in the murder.

The Congress cadres also alleged a conspiracy hatched by senior party leaders in Delhi.

Masood was assassinated on Aug 16 last year near her house when she was going to participate in India Against Corruption (IAC) fast.

The high profile case is being investigated by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and five people including interior designer Zahida Parvez, her friend Saba Farooqui, city-based criminal Shaqib ‘Danger’, Kanpoor’s shooters Irfan Ali and Tabish Khan had been arrested so far.

During hearing in CBI court, Parvez had alleged Wednesday to reporters that Dhruv Narayan Singh had deep involvement in the murder of the RTI activist and that CBI is saving him.

Hundreds of Congressmen demonstrated before BJP office here and burnt effigy of the BJP legislator Thursday.
