Jamiat Ulama, BJP holding demonstration on Assam issue tomorrow

New Delhi: Jamiat Ulama-I-Hind is going to hold a peaceful demonstration against communal violence targeted upon Muslims in Assam on Wednesday at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi. Meanwhile, BJP, which is projecting the issue as Bodo-Bangladeshi infiltrators, is also going to hold a demonstration at the same site tomorrow.

Memorandum regarding the concerned issue will be submitted to the president of India, Prime Minister and Home Minster, said Azeemullah Qasmi, media in-charge of the Jamiat. Besides Maulana Mahmood Madani, General Secretary, Jamiat and Mahesh Bhat, leaders of important political and social leaders will join the protest, informed Qasmi.

Meanwhile, addressing a program on alleged atrocities on Bodos in Assam, BJP president Nitin Gadkari Tuesday evening announced to hold a demonstration at Jantar Mantar tomorrow to “protest against the weak policy of the Congress party regarding the issue of Bangladeshi infiltrators.” Gadkari claimed Bodos have been made homeless in their own homeland by the infiltrators.
