New Delhi: Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind General Secretary Maulna Mahmood Mdadni today condemned rumours of retaliatory attacks on Northeast people and appealed to maintain peace and communal harmony at any cost. He warned anti- social elements against spreading rumours, circulating mischievous messages or threatening anyone, especially people from Northeast.
Meanwhile Muslim organizations in Bangalore have appealed people in Northeast to not leave the city.
Some communal forces, which instead of ameliorating the grief of victims of ethnic cleansing in Assam wanted to aggravate upon their communal divisive agenda on the false bogey of Bangladeshi influx may be behind originating such rumours. These elements are busy dividing nation on the humanitarian crisis in Assam, Maulana Madani claimed.
The government should not ignore this aspect during investigation for getting to the root of the problem.” Maulana Madani demanded.
