Five of the six stations — Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhawan, Race Course and Jor Bagh — are on the Gurgaon-Jahangirpuri route. The sixth, Khan Market, falls on the Badarpur corridor.

The stations will be closed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“We are closing the stations following a Delhi Police order,” said a metro official.

Former Team Anna member Kejriwal has called for protests outside the prime minister’s and BJP president Nitin Gadkari’s residences, saying both the Congress and BJP were to blame for irregular coal blocks allocation.
