AMU to hold selection committees for vacant teaching positions from Jan 2013

Aligarh: The Aligarh Muslim University has decided to hold selection committees of all teaching posts in different departments as well as cases for promotion under career advancement scheme (CAS) from the first week of January 2013 under the UGC Regulations 2010.

All efforts are being made to ensure that the backlog is cleared within a given span of time, the university said in a statement. The University will hold selection committees taking into account API score.

AMU Vice Chancellor, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Zameer Uddin Shah has constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Dean of the Faculty concerned. The committee will also have the chairmen of the departments concerned and a nominee of the Vice Chancellor.

The Vice Chancellor has approved the API scores using PBAS proforma as submitted by the teachers will be referred to the above committee for verification / certification and the committee will return the same to the office of the Registrar within a week after due verification. The University will notify the prescribed proforma of the API score soon.
