Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir Police Tuesday claimed it had averted a major tragedy with the timely detection of an improvised explosive device (IED) in Pulwama district.
“A tragedy was averted when police detected and defused an IED in Tral (Pulwama),” the official said.
“Police detected an IED on the Tral-Mandoora road in Mandoora Tuesday. The bomb disposal squad was pressed into services which defused the IED on the spot,” police said here.
