New Delhi : Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar Tuesday asked the home ministry to increase the number of police patrolling vehicles to increase police effectiveness in the capital after the gang-rape of a 23-year-old woman in a moving bus Sunday night.
Kumar said he had asked Home Secretary R.K. Singh to provide Delhi Police with 370 more Police Control Room (PCR) vans.
“I also submitted a proposal to replace non-functional PCR vans,” said Kumar.
