Shimla : The Congress is poised to form a government in Himachal Pradesh, party leader Virbhadra Singh said Thursday, as the vote count in the state put it ahead of the BJP.
“We are going to form the next government,” the former Himachal Pradesh chief minister told the media here.
According to Election Commission officials, the Congress appeared to be inching towards victory in 37 of the 68 constituencies. Candidates of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party were ahead in 26 seats.
