Over 400 foreign delegates from 50 countries will take part in the three-day business-to-business event, which will focus on emerging markets like Africa, Middle East, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Japan and Latin America.

ESC executive director D.L. Sareen told reporters here Monday that the event would bring together a large number of IT buyers from abroad and a record number of Indian exhibitors.

The delegates would include representatives from governments, private sector and NGOs from including Brazil, Venezuela, Panama, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.

ESC expects business of Rs.300-400 crore, against Rs.300 crore generated during the 11th edition last year.

“Making a modest beginning with 30 exhibitors, Indiasoft has now become a premier IT event,” Sareen said.

Indiasoft seeks to improve the visibility of the Indian software industry, especially small and medium enterprises and the start-up companies in the global IT market. The focus would be on business services, e-security, finance, banking, insurance, manufacturing, education and others.

Leading buyers from abroad would include Bank of Algeria. Costa Rica’s Foreign Affairs Minister Anabel Gonzalez will be among the key speakers at the event, the third in this city.

Delegates from developed countries will assess the advantages of entering into long-term agreements with Indian companies. Those from developing and least developed countries will explore possibilities for engaging with Indian exhibitors in areas like legal outsourcing and governance.
