New Delhi : Issue or renewal of factory licenses, certified copies of revenue records, and duplicate ration cards were among the 26 more services Friday brought under the ambit of the Delhi law setting timeframes for government services.
The Delhi Right of Citizen to Time Bound Delivery of Services Act will have 96 services under it now.
“A total of 96 services of 22 departments have been brought under the ambit of e-Service Level Agreement. The response of the citizens on the implementation of e-SLA (under the act) has been marvelous,” said an official statement Friday.
The act came into force Sep 15, 2011 while 32 services of 14 departments incorporated under its ambit initially.
Under the act, the government official concerned is liable to pay penalty to people for delay in delivering desired services within the prescribed time limit.
