He also blamed the turf of war among different security agencies of the country and a race to catch a prize catch. He said, “Muslims have become soft target for the agencies because of ineffective leadership.”
Referring to the murder of Qateel Siddiqui in Yerwada Jail, Pune and the killing of Khwaja Yunus in police custody, Aslam Gazi said, “It’s dangerous precedent that people are not safe even in the high security areas and are killed in the presence of police personal.”
Qateel was in a Judicial Custody when he was killed and therefore, legally his family must be compensated with Rs.50, lacs, demanded Zafar Ansari, President of the local unit of JIH. He said, “Government must take not only compensate the victims but guilty officers must be punished. Kidnapping of Muslim Youths must be stopped immediately.”
Rizwanur Rehman Khan, Vice Preisent JIH, Maharashtra urged the secular and just people to come forward against “state terrorism.” Referring to many acquittals of Muslim youths by the court, he said to TwoCircles.Net, “Courts have set them free after many years but the terror tag attached with them and loss of their precious time makes their lives hell. It’s sad to witness this kind of brutality; it’s injustice with the Muslims and with the Nation because the real terrorists are roaming freely while innocents are jailed.”
