The matter, according to an order copy, came to light when an iPad was found Thursday evening in a recording mode at the lower side of the dias, in a position that was not visible to the chair, after the court proceedings were over.

The judge was hearing a case against the Essar group and Loop Telecom.

“It is apparent court proceedings were being recorded secretly and in an unauthorised manner. However, in view of the apology tendered by the learned senior advocate, I do not wish to proceed with the matter any further,” Judge Saini noted.

“iPad may be returned to the concerned person after deleting the recording therefrom. The accused persons are directed to ensure that such acts are not repeated by their employees, agents or associated in future.”
