A total of 38 kg of ivory, two rifles and 77 rounds of ammunition were also seized, Xinhua reported.

Many wild animals in Kenya such as elephants, lions, wild dogs, leopards, cheetah and hyenas, among others, are endangered today due to poaching.

Kenya’s Maasai Mara reserve alone is home to more than 800 lions. Other rare animals are found there.
