India, Spain ink audio-visual agreement

New Delhi : India and Spain Friday signed an audio-visual co-production agreement to improve cooperation between the two countries in the audio visual sector, official sources said.

The agreement was signed by Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni and Spain’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Jose Garcia Margallo Y. Marfil.

The agreement’s framework for co-production includes feature films, documentary and animation films. It rovides opportunities for both the countries to pool their creative, artistic, technical, financial and marketing resources to co-produce films.

Before Spain, India has signed similar co-production agreements with Italy and Britain in 2005, Germany and Brazil in 2007, France in 2010, New Zealand in 2011 and Poland in 2012.
