Kabul: Afghan police backed by the army have killed at least 14 Taliban militants and arrested five others, Xinhua reported.
The interior ministry said in a statement: “In operations backed by the national army and NATO-led troops in several provinces including Kabul and the southern Helmand province, 14 Taliban rebels were killed and five others captured.”
There were no casualties among the security forces, he said.
The Taliban did not make any comment.
