New Delhi : The inter-ministerial group (IMG) reviewing captive coal mine allocations would meet again Sep 12, the coal ministry said Monday.
Twenty-nine companies which were allocated coal blocks made presentations to the IMG last week in reply to show-cause notices issued to them earlier.
“The self-certification as per CA (chartered accountant) certificate and physical progress reported by the companies was taken on record and the representatives were given an opportunity to be heard by IMG,” the ministry said in a statement.
The Coal controller and the ministry have been asked to provide a status paper for each case, including history of previous reviews and action, to help finalise its recommendations on the firms that have appeared before it.
