New Delhi: A group of peace activist, victims, and youths participated in the day long fast at Rajghat on the day of 4th anniversary of Batla House fake encounter. The fast start at 9 AM and ended at 5 PM.
This programme, an initiative by Khudai Khidmatgar, Sadbhav Mission, NAPM and Asha Parivar, demanded stop to the arresting of youth in illegal manner which were against DK Basu guidelines. They asked the Government to rehabilitate the acquitted victims who were declared as innocent in fake cases, the case of illegal arrests be tried by a fast- track tribunal, to constitute a peoples commission on illegal arrest.
Faisal Khan of Khudai Khidmatgar address the gathering and said, “Today we are following this fast to show the unity, expecting the justice from the Government with whose agencies Injustice happened, we are against all form of terrorism and terrorist activities.”
Faisal Khan also demanded a fast-track for all terror cases.
Prof V.K. Tripathy IIT Delhi from Sadbhav Mission also participated in this fast and discussed the necessity of being united and the rights violation happening widely on the minority community is not only the issue of minority but as a whole of humanity and peace.
Ms. Zulaika Jabeen from Ramnika foundation New Delhi, National Peace Secular Party President Wani Ahmed siddiqui also address the gathering.
Khudai Khidmatgar secretary Inamul Hasan, Qamar Intekhab, Organising Secretary shri Balwant Singh Yadav,National Office bearers Tabish Batti, Ulema wing convenor Moulana Fateh Mohammed Nadwi, Eminent Gandhian Suresh Bhai Sarvodayi, Khudai Khidmatgar Gujarat Chapter Advocate Bilal Kaagzi, Haryana Chapter Moulana Mohammed Ahmed, UP chapter Mohd. Faizan, Puducherry Chapter Nizamuddin and Abdul subhan.Students from Delhi University under the leadership of Vivek pandey and Rohit Pandey, students from Jamia Millia Islamia under the Leadership of Mohd.Afzal also participated in the programme. Fast ended at 5 PM by having fruit juice by Prof V.K Tripathy.
