Tehran : Authorities in Iran have detained the daughter of the country’s ex-president Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani, Xinhua reported Sunday.
Faezeh Hashemi has already been sentenced to six-month jail term and a ban from political activities for five years on charges of spreading propaganda against the Islamic republic.
Hashemi was detained late Saturday to serve her sentence of imprisonment, the report cited Tehran’s Revolution and General Prosecutor’s Office as saying.
