The state’s Parliamentary Affairs Minister Partha Chatterjee will move the resolution opposing FDI in multi-brand retail and also the increase in diesel prices and the cap on the supply of subsidised liquefied petroleum gas cylinders per family per year, government chief whip Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay told reporters here Wednesday.

Last week, the Trinmool withdrew support from the United Progressive Alliance government at the centre, protesting these decisions.

Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee has already announced that she would lead a demonstration at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar opposing the centre’s decisions on economic reforms.

Congress lawmakers in the assembly said they would oppose the resolution, but those of the Left Front said they would decide on their stand after the resolution is tabled.
