Lucknow: A protest march against terrorism was organized by Majlis-e-Ulama-e-Hind in the state capital from Maqbara Saadat Ali Khan to GPO Park, Hazratganj.
The protest march was taken out by the leaders of all religions, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh etc.
General Secretary of Majlis-e-Ulama-e-Hind and Prominent Shia leader Maulana Kalbe Jawwad said, “World is on the edge of terrorism, the religious places of all religions have been attacked by the terrorists like mosques, temples, gurudwaras, churches etc.”
He highlighted the plight of the Shia community and other religious minorities in Pakistan. He also spoke about the sufferings of minoritites in other countries including Myanmar, Bangladesh, Syria, Bahrain, etc.
He added, “The attendance of leaders of all religions in this protest and peace march have proved and given an important message to the world that terrorism doesn’t belong to any religion, and that terrorists are against all religions.” They are worshippers of violence, he added.
A prominent Sunni leader Abul Irfan Mian Firangi Mahali appealed, “All leaders and clerics of every religion should come out against terrorism”.
The other non-Muslim speakers present there who gave inspiring speeches were, UP Maseehi Sangh President, Rakesh Chakra, UP Sikh Board President Dr. Gurmeet singh and Mahant Janmijay Sharan Ji Maharaj, etc.
