Priya D’Souza sustained 60 percent burns but her condition is now stable, reported the local media quoting sources.

D’Souza was returning home from a cold store April 19 evening when she got caught in the middle of a clash between police and protestors at Isa Al-Kabeer Avenue in Manama, Bahrain’s capital.

When the protestors started hurling Molotov cocktails at the police, D’Souza and another Asian expatriate sustained injuries.

According to the Gulf Daily News, D’Souza was first taken to Salmaniya Medical Complex’s intensive care unit, but was later shifted to the burns ward.
