Two flights were disrupted due to bad weather in Delhi, said the Airport Authority of India, Delhi.

    Several trains were also delayed.

Though the sky was clear during the day, Delhiites woke up to a nippy and foggy Monday morning with visibility dropping to around 400 metres.

“Some flights were delayed and some diverted because visibility at the airport runway fell below 50 metres,” an airport official said.

Even a few trains coming to Delhi were running behind schedule, slowed down by dense fog.

The minimum temperature was 8.8 degrees Celsius – average for this time of the year – while the maximum temperature was 24.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season’s average.

Tuesday’s maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 24 and 9 degrees Celsius, respectively.
