Lucknow: The Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) CPI (ML) has come out in support of Muslim youths languishing in jail. The CPI (ML) unit of Mirzapur district held a day long dharna at District Collectorate. The party raised ten points during their protest and submitted a memorandum addressed to Chief Minister through the District Magistrate.
Addressing the protest, Mohammad Saleem stated that during the assembly elections Samajwadi Party had made several assurances to the people but had failed to fulfill them in 11 months. He demanded release of innocent Muslim youths languishing in jail in different districts. He stated that SP’s national president Mulayam Singh Yadav had promised reservation to Muslims in education and jobs but it has not been fulfilled. He also demanded that reports of Sachar Commission and Ranganath Mishra report should be implements.
CPI (ML) cadres namely Asharam Bharti, Satish Yadav, Imran Khan, Pradeep Kasera, Vishram Bharti, Ram Autar etc were also present.
