New Delhi: A Delhi University student has accused her former live-in partner of raping her on pretext of marrying her, police said Sunday.
The woman, 22, approached the police Saturday night after she came to know that her partner and classmate, also 22, was getting engaged tio another girl. She said when she opposed his decision, he left the rented accommodation they were staying in without informing her, a police officer said.
Both are second-year B.A. students at Dayal Singh College and were living in Lodi Colony in south Delhi.
Police have booked the young man and are searching for him.
