District Judge I.S. Mehta sent Syed Maqbool and Imran Khan to five days’ custody of the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

The two were presented in the court by officials of the Tihar Jail where they were lodged after arrest in the 2012 Pune blasts case.

Maqbool and Imran Khan had in July 2012 allegedly recceed Hyderabad’s Dilsukhnagar, where the Feb 21 blasts this year killed 16 people and injured 117, the NIA claimed.

Their interrogation will give information on the exact plan envisaged by their associates, the agency said.
