Jaipur: Noted Film Director and Social worker Mahesh Bhatt has warned Ashok Gehlot , Chief Minister of Rajasthan, to deliver justice to the Muslims of the state otherwise the Congress will be opposed in the forthcoming assembly election of 2013 and Lok Sabha election of 2014.
Mahesh Bhatt was leading one day dharna staged by the Forum for Muslim Studies & Analysis, Aligarh on Shahid Smarak, Jaipur. Mahesh Bhatt pointed out that the Congress was the symbol of composite culture but since last few years the Congress government in Rajasthan is forgetting the concept of secularism.

Discussing Gopalgarh riot, Mahesh Bhatt said that when the police itself plays role of rioter then we cannot call our country a civilized nation. He wondered that Rajasthan government has failed in taking action in 42 riots which have shooked the state. He said in the last elections we had asked for the votes for the Congress and if this is the track record of congress then we will oppose it in next elections. He said that Congress is holding a Chintan Shivir soon and congress high command should ask for the explanation of the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot about his failures.
FMSA had staged the dharna in supoort of the 15 point demand charters.
Earlier, Member of Rajya Sabha , Mohammad Adeeb raised the question of security of Muslim youths. He pointed out that the government including Rajasthan government is arresting Muslim youths in the name of terrorism.
Member of Rajya Sabha , Ali Anwar Ansari drew the attention toward the Article 341 of the Indian Constitution which is doing injustice with Muslim and Christian Dalits. He said that while Hindu, Sikh and Bodh Dalits are enjoying fruits of reservation only the Muslim and Christian Dalits are being deprived off due to a Presidential order of 1950. He said that such religion based prejudice should be stopped forthwith. Ansari also targeted Rajasthan government for withdrawing equalency to the Adeeb and Adeeb Mahir certificates in 2010. He said that Gehlot Government is against the interests of Urdu.
Eminent Scientist & Aligarh Muslim University Court Member Prof. Humayun Murad said the Congress and particularly Rajasthan government should open eyes and see the writing on the walls and correct the wrongs done.
