MIM is not against Hindus or Hinduism

Hyderabad: Appearing in the public very first time just after few hours of his release on bail from Sangareddy Jail, Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owiasi in a hard hitting speech has accused the Congress(I) ruled Andhra Pradesh government for harassing MIM and its leaders by slapping false cases in order to make MIM silent on the issues of injustice being done to Muslims of the state and that his party eventually will overcome on the challenges thrown by opponents.

Mr. Owaisi was addressing a huge meeting “Jalsa Rahmatul Alimeen” to mark the birthday of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) tonight at Darussalam ground and said that he and his younger brother Akbaruddin Owaisi MLA who is lodged in Adilabad jail under various charges including hate speech since Jan 9 would continue raising voice for Muslims and innocent imprisoned Muslim youth in various jails. “The BJP termed us terrorists or patron of terrorists” when we provide legal and monetary support to Abdul Khadeer who is in jail for 20 years even after serving life imprisonment in the 1992 killing of Assistant Commissioner of Police .T. Sattiah and others. He questioned and asked what BJP would call the visit L. K. Advani and Sushma Swaraj to a jail to meet Pratigya Thakare an accused in several bombing cases. Referring to the Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde’s statement on RSS terror training camps and its men involvement in bomb cases in Mecca Masjid, Malegaon and Samjhauta Express train as an eye opener, Hyderabad MP demanded a thorough inquiry in to all bombing cases in the country from 1993 .

He declared neither MIM nor his MLA brother Akbaruddin Owaisi is against Hindus or Hindu religion but opposes the BJP and Sangh Parivar and will continue its stride against unjust system of Indian government where there is one law for majority and another for minorities. He asserted that MIM and Muslims of this country will use their ballots in full force to stop BJP’s ambitions to grab the power at center and make Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi Prime Minister in 2014. At the same time they will work to wipe out congress party from the state. To achieve this goal MIM will take Dalits of this country and the state along with them. He opined that if there was any tallest leader in the country it was Dr. B. R. Ambedkar who made the constitution of India not Mahatama Gandhi and refuted the allegations against his lieutenant and party MLA Ahmed Pasha Qaudri had insulted the Gandhi. Mr. Owaisi said the “Killers of Gandhi” now talking about respecting of Gandhi and accusing his party MLA disrespecting the father of the nation. Was Nathuram Godse not an RSS member? He asked.

MIM President exhorted party workers in particular and the Muslims in general to keep their moral high and follow the teachings of Islam and Prophet Muhammad. “Our religion taught us to be ready to sacrifice our lives and wealth in the way of Allah and stand up for the truth”, he added. He said unity among us is more important and Muslims have to rise from narrow thinking and Maslaks.

The Darussalam ground was jam packed and people were raising slogans “Allahu Akbar” frequently during the two hours speech of Asaduddin Owaisi. Maulana Mufti Syed Mazhar Shah (Pakistan) was the chief guest and in his speech he advised Muslims to follow the orders of Allah, Holy Quran and the sunnah of our beloved prophet. The prevailing conditions of Muslims in today’s world are due to their distance from Quran and Sunnah. Mufti Khaleel Ahmed, Maulana Taqi Raza Abedi, Moulana Masood Hussain Mujtehdi, Moulana Zaheeruddin Ali Sufi, Shaik Hussain Shakir Bhai of Bohra community were among those who addressed the meeting which lasted for over five hours.

An International Natiya Mushaira is slated on Friday night at Darussalam in which poets from India and Pakistan will participate. The Majlis Tameer Millat another old Muslim Organisation of Hyderabad has planned two day program to celebrate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad in the city

Meanwhile the entire old city is illuminated for the last two days with lights, flags, ribbons and decoration papers marking the festivity Meelad un Nabi.
