Tehran : Iranian police Tuesday killed a suicide bomber in the southeastern port city of Chabahar, state-run IRIB TV reported.
The man, wearing a suicide vest and carrying a grenade and a pistol, tried to enter the police headquarters in Chabahar in Sistan-Baluchestan province, but he did not succeed, an official said.
The bomber shot at a guard at the police headquarters and wounded him, the official said.
The bomber was immediately shot dead by another police officer.
There were no casualties among Iranian security forces, he said.
According to Xinhua, Pakistan-based Sunni group Jundallah has claimed responsibility for several deadly attacks against Iranian forces in the past.
