Mumbai: Yet again the Maharashtra police have delimited entry of Majlis-e-Itehadul Muslimeen Chief Asaduddin Owaisi in the state one more time fearing ‘law and order problem’.

A team of Maharashtra police accompanied by local inspector served an ex-parte notice at MIM headquarters Daraul Salam in Hyderabad, according to the notice U/S 144 (2) of CRPC Hyderabad parliamentarian has been barred from entering Dhule town till June 26th and Malegaon till July 12th. Mr. Owaisi was scheduled to address a public meeting at Malegaoun at June 14th and was planning to have a discourse with his party worker in Dhule town.

It is believed that police took it as precautionary measure to delay Mr. Owaisi’s meeting in Malegaon keeping in mind following Shab-e-Barat, the same festival in 2006 where bomb blasts occurred in town’s graveyards killing Muslims.

Dhule town has also become sensitive since last communal riots where Muslims have been killed in cold blood in police firing, Mr. Owaisi recently during huge reservation public meeting at Aurangabad made controversial remarks stating that Dhule firing wouldn’t had taken please if Muslims were to be had some presence in the police force.

This is the second time in six months that Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi is being stopped from entering Maharashtra earlier; in January he was not allowed to address his party’s meeting in Aurangabad city. During that period police in their notice gave reference to his younger brother and party’s legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi’s alleged hate speech and even erroneously mentioned hate speech cases pending against Asaduddin Owais in Telangana region although they were none.

It is interesting to note that when Mr. Owaisi was banned from entering Aurangabad in January, VHP leader Praveen Togadia was allowed to hold public meeting in Nanded in February where he openly threatened and reminded Indian Muslims of different communal riots.

Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi was active on Twitter last evening criticizing the stand of Congress-NCP alliance Government of not allowing an elected parliamentarian to address public meetings which according to him ‘is not good for democracy’.

Mr. Owaisi stated he doesn’t blame police for this action but the ruling parties who ‘showed their frustration that they are losing support among minorities’; he advised them on twitter to be more ‘mature enough to hear criticism and their wrong policies towards the minorities’.

On the apprehension of tension in Dhule town due to his visit, Mr. Owaisi commented that ‘even after 5 months Dhulia is not peaceful shows the governance of Congress and NCP’.

He also alleged that if he had called the meeting to praise the Govt. permission would have been granted, “If I say I am going to praise the Congress-NCP Government permission will be given but I cannot do sycophancy will tell the truth only.”

Mr. Owaisi also assured people of Malegaon that “Inshallah I will visit with police permission and address them even if 10 people (a)r(e) there.”
