Additional District and Sessions Judge Ajay Goel passed the order on a plea of student Amrendra Kumar. The exams were to begin from Friday

Kumar, a MCA student with PTU, had alleged that the university had admitted him and many other students to its distance learning courses without the necessary approval from the central government’s Distance Education Council.

The court in the order said: “PTU is hereby restrained from conducting any examination till the next date of hearing…S.D. Education Society, Margaret School and Sangawan Model Secondary School (where the exam was to be held) are also restrained from providing any infrastructure for conducting exams till the next date of hearing.”
