Hyderabad : Union Minister of State for Home R. P. N. Singh Friday called upon trainee CISF officers at the National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) here to prepare themselves effectively to meet the emerging challenges posed by the new forms of terrorism and militancy.
He stressed upon the growing role of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in the changing security scenario, particularly in areas like disaster management, VIP security, government building security and aviation security.
Singh was addressing the passing out parade of 38th batch of sub-inspectors/executives at NISA, the premier training institution of CISF, a central armed police force working under ministry of home affairs.
“Aspirations and hopes are the essence of life. Let us once again rededicate ourselves to cherish and follow the noble ideals which inspired our freedom struggle and endevaour to build a strong, vibrant and secure India,” the minister said.
Later he gave away the trophies to the trainees who excelled in various categories of training.
A total of 697 sub-inspectors/executives passed out of the academy after successfully completing their basic training. They acquired skills in wide array of subjects like industrial security management, criminology, aviation security, disaster management, VIP security, leadership, forensic science law, human behavior and outdoor activities like physical training, swimming drill, weapon training, field craft and tactics.
CISF Director General Rajiv hoped that the rigors of training imparted at the academy will make them stand in good stead in their professional career.
