Hot, sunny Wednesday in Delhi

    New Delhi: It was a sunny morning in the capital Wednesday. The minimum temperature settled at 25.8 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year. The Met office has forecast a clear day in store.

    “The skies will remain clear and there is no possibility of rain the afternoon will be hot,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department.

    The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 36 degrees Celsius.

    The city experienced a hot Tuesday. The maximum temperature settled two notches above the season’s average at 36.3 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was 25.9 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year.

    Since the arrival of the monsoon, the city has recorded 781.4 mm or rain — 41 percent above average.
