Hyderabad : Andhra Pradesh 1legislature’s vote-on-account budget session will begin Monday, officials said.
Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy will table the vote-on-account budget for 2014-15 in the assembly on the first day of the four-day session. The interim budget will also be tabled in the legislative council.
Both the houses will adjourn after the tabling of the vote-on-account budget Monday morning. There will be no sitting Tuesday. Both the houses will debate and approve the vote-on-account budget during the remaining three days.
Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy Saturday discussed with the finance minister and some other cabinet colleagues the strategy to be adopted by the government during the session.
The session coincides with the ongoing parliament session, where the bill for bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh is likely to be tabled next week.
During the winter session which concluded Jan 30, both the houses of the state legislature had completed the debate on Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill 2013 sent by President Pranab Mukherjee for its views under article 3 of the constitution.
Both the houses also passed resolutions by a voice vote, rejecting the bill and requesting the president not to forward the bill to parliament.
