Fraternity Forum conducts health awareness program in Dammam

    Dammam: India Fraternity Forum, Kerala chapter conducted health awareness class and free medical camp in association with Salama Tek medical centre at Nesto hall in Dammam as part of ongoing ‘Healthy life happy life’ health awareness campaign.

    Hundreds of people participated and made use of free check-ups like blood pressure, blood sugar, BMI and pulse. Free consultation to a general practitioner was also available. The function was inaugurated by Mr. Moosakutty, Saudi zonal president, India Fraternity Forum.

    A statement by Forum said that it aims to spread the message that, do exercise and keep health among expatriates who are normally not taking care about their health. “Fraternity forum started this health awareness campaign as we realize that, the lack of exercise and wrong life habits causes many problems in expatriates and leading to have pressure, sugar, heart diseases and immature death even in youths,” Forum Dammam Chapter President Abdul Latheef Karunagappally said in his presidential address.

    Distribution of health guide, corner talks, room visits, medical camps & awareness classes, demonstration of exercise and yoga are also going on, he added.

    The class regarding the importance of exercise in healthy life was taken by Mr. Mohamed Ali Master and his demonstration of simple exercises items which we can do even from rooms was very useful.

    Fraternity Forum also honored social workers like Nass Vakkam, Mohamed Abdul Waheed, Shorab Ahmed in this function for their outstanding service in the field of community welfare and undying commitment to the society, the mementos were presented by Moosakutty, Ramdas (Nesto DGM) and Abdul Ali Kalathingal respectively. Assaf Nechikkadan (MD, SALAMATEK Medical centre) and Mohamed Ali Master were also honored by Fraternity Forum for their remarkable service and performance in this health campaign. The mementos were awarded by Muneer Puthige and Abdul Salam Master.

    Several other persons were also felicitated.
