King Abdullah orders SR200 million in aid to Palestinians

Jeddah : Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah ordered on Sunday immediate assistance to the Palestinian Red Crescent in Gaza worth more than $50 million.

Finance Minister Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf, in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, said the king had issued a directive to provide the Palestinian Red Crescent in Gaza with 200 million Saudi Riyals. The minister said that the amount was allocated “for immediate needs of medicines and medical equipment and supplies necessary to treat the victims of the Israeli attacks against the Gaza Strip which claimed the lives of thousands of innocent children, women, elderly and people of special needs.”
