New Delhi : The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Tuesday asked the Karnataka government to send a report on the alleged rape of a six-year-old in a private school in Bangalore.
“The commission has issued notice to the chief secretary, director general of police and district collector calling for a report within two weeks,” NHRC said in a statement.
The police have arrested a 30-year-old school staff, who worked as a skating instructor, for the alleged crime that triggered protests in Bangalore.
The commission observed that the contents of the media reports raise a serious issue of violation of human rights.
