New Delhi: In an expected reshuffle of the cabinet in coming days, Zafar Sareshwala, businessman turned Narendra Modi’s highly trusted Muslim advisor, might be given the charge of the Minority Affairs Ministry, Bureaucracy Today has reported, citing well placed “sources”.
Sareshwala, however, denied taking up any post and told BT that he has “no intention” to be a part of the Cabinet, adding, “I am happy working for the Muslim community and the nation at large.”

The speculation is rife in power circle and he is slated to meet the Prime Minister in the evening today.
The Minority Affairs portfolio is currently being held by the Najma Heptullah, the lone Muslim Minister in Modi cabinet. It was not immediately clear if she will be removed from the cabinet or her portfolio will be changed in case Sareshwala takes over.
