Bhopal: A six-month long free of cost Arabic language programme christened as “Diploma education in Arabic Language” (DEAL) will be held at Hyderabad from December 1.
The DEAL for graduates, Aalims and Hafiz-e-Quran (both male & female) candidates will be conducted by the Hyderabad-based MESCO-ALEEF (Muslim Educational, Social & Cultural Organization – Arabic Language & English Education Foundation), the sixth consecutive year for such a programme.
The course is meant for those interested in learning the subjects such as Tajweed (correct pronunciation), Nazera Quran (reading), writing Arabic language, Arabic grammar, language of Quran (understanding the translation), Seerat-un-Nabi, English language, computer, teaching methodology and personality development.
According to Dr Iftekharuddin of MESCO-ALEEF, only those candidates need apply for the course who are interested in learning the above subjects especially the language of Holy Quran and in turn, teach the same at schools and colleges.
While the certificate provided by the MESCO-ALEEF is neither recognised by any University nor by any government department or even by some Madrassa board, the Arabic course developed by the organisation for schools from nursery to standard VIII have been recognised by National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), NOIDA and Aligarh Muslim University. It is under process for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Internationally, the Ministry of Information Kingdom of Saudi Arabia recognises these courses.
The students selected for the Arabic language programme will be provided free lodging, boarding facility, free course material and even local transport from the hostel to the course venue, MESCO-ALEEF, an NGO working since 1983 in the field of education and health, said. It also runs a number of short term courses too.
