Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir are likely to be held in December, according to sources in Commission.

The minister congratulated the army, paramilitary forces and National Disaster Response Force for their role in the rescue and relief operations.

In reply to another question, he said: “Such natural calamities should be kept away from politics and not be connected to assembly polls.”
