New Delhi: Three concerned Muslim youths have lodged a complaint with the Jamia Nagar police station against alleged ISIS operative in India who has described himself from Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh.
“(This is) yet another attempt to taint the image of Azamgarh. An alleged operative of ISIS in India describes himself from the Azamgarh district on his Facebook account. Salman Yousuf’s FB ID also suggested that he passed out from Osmania University, Hyderabad and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Aligarh. Later, it was deleted or seems visible to only certain people,” Sarwar Iqbal Khan, T M Zeyaul Haque and Ameeque Jamai, convenor of All India Tanzeem Insaf, said in their complaint to the Jamia Nagar police station on July 1.
Jamia Nagar police have not registered any FIR as yet on the complaint by the three citizens, who are Okhla residents.
The trio claimed in the complaint that “to check genuineness of the ID, many concerned Muslims youth tried to trace the real account holder and his identity but in vein.” This prompted them to lodge police complaint and demanded police to immediately “arrest person/s behind the alleged ID.”
“We also learn from other sources that this name has many accounts and posts such materials to support ISIS and their misdeed to mislead Muslim youth,” said the complainant.
While talking to TwoCircles.net, Jamai expresses deep concern over the issue and termed it as an attempt to taint the image of Muslims especially those who hail from Azamgarh. “We are against any kind of extremism and we shall curb this phenomenon in our country and community as well. But these types of activities are being carried out by agents of Sangh Parivar and Mosad to trap simple Muslim youth in the name of religion,” he alleged and added, “Now everybody knows that ISIS is serving the interest of Israel, so what else should we know to get real identity of these sorts of fake IDs.”
