Kolkata: The Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) and Bhasha-O-Chetana Samity organised candle light vigils in Kolkata on Sunday to show solidarity with the people who died in the brutal terrorist attacks in Paris.
Addressing the members of the rally, SIO member Sadab Masum said, “In the name of Islam, the ISIS is continuing their ant-Islamic activities around the world. It should be stop at any cost. Terrorism has no place in Islam. Islam never permitted killing innocent people, but the ISIS continues to do that without remorse. So, everyone should come forward against the ISIS.”
The candle light vigil was attended by several people, including women and children, who held placards denouncing terrorism and urging people to come together in times like these.
State president of Milli Ittehad Parishad Abdul Aziz, while blaming the ISIS for the incident, said it was time to think who created the ISIS. “We must identify the main culprits who acted as the godfather of IS punish them in the International Court,” he said.
