The weeklong trip is intended to provide the widows an opportunity to visit historical, religious and national monuments in New Delhi and Agra.

“The planned tour to promote the spirit of integration and inspire goodwill would help the Veer Naris to improve their historical knowledge by visiting Rashtrapathi Bhavan, India Gate, Red Fort, Qutab Minar, Lotus Temple, Akshardham Temple, Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.”

It will also provide them an opportunity to meet and interact with ladies and families of Army establishments at New Delhi and Agra.

To mitigate personal and domestic problems of the war widows and to ensure personal healing touch and emotional support, AWWA Northern Command has taken interest in instituting various major and micro ventures for the welfare of such women all over the state.
