Saeed, 24, is a student in Bangalore. Originally from Yemen he has been studying in India for the last five years and just finished his degree in Aerospace Engineering.
Ramadan in India is very different for him as he has to do everything by himself, like preparing food. Whereas in Yemen his family is there to take care of him. “I can be anywhere in the world, as long as I am with my family, I will feel better,” Saeed says.
In Yemen, after iftar and maghrib prayers, everyong from the neighborhood will gather around, make teams, and start a game of basketball.
He has not been to Yemen for the last three years but his family is fine but the situation is “bit rough.” He is going home in two months and very excited to reunite with his family.
