Greater Noida : Two top civil and police officials of Uttar Pradesh Thursday visited Greater Noida to assure industrialists about their safety following the murder of the CEO of an Indian subsidiary of an Italian firm here.
The visit by Chief Secretary Atul Gupta and Director General of Police Vikram Singh comes in the wake of the apprehensions of diversion of foreign investment after the lynching of L.K. Choudhary, CEO of Cerlikon-Graziano Transmissions India, by a mob of retrenched workers.
The officials reassured the worried industrialists that such incidents would not be allowed to recur and that ample security would be provided to the entrepreneurs operating in the town.
Singh told the delegation of the Association of Greater Noida Industries (AGNI) that adequate police force would be at their disposal and a separate police circle has been created in the town, said a source who was present at the meeting.
