Islamabad : President Asif Ali Zardari arrived here Friday night after a successful visit to China which was his first state visit abroad since becoming the President.
The President during his visit held wide ranging talks with the Chinese leaders with a resolve to give renewed impetus to the existing time-tested bilateral ties between the two countries.
During his four-day stay, the President held talks with the Chinese leadership on matters of bilateral interest and issues of regional and international concern.
President Zardari held talks with his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao, besides meetings with Chairman National People’s Congress (NPC) Wu Bangguo and Chairman Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Jia Qingling.
The two countries inked eleven agreements to boost bilateral cooperation in different sectors.
