Man-made tunnel across Gazan border collapses, three missing

Gaza : A makeshift underground tunnel across the Egyptian-Gazan border collapsed on Saturday while three Palestinians were trying to pass through it, witnesses said.

Civil defense teams and medics hurried to the site in the town of Rafah and tried to rescue the three persons, feared to have been buried under piles of dirt and wreckage.

Up to 50 Palestinians have lost their lives while trying to smuggle items through several underground man-made tunnels across the border with neighboring Egypt.
