New Delhi : US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Wednesday night met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here to express solidarity with India in the wake of “horrible” terror attacks in Mumbai.
Rice, who is visiting Islamabad on Thursday, is understood to have told Singh that she would convey a message for “direct and tough” action from Pakistan to get to the bottom of what happened in Mumbai.
She is also understood to have told the Prime Minister that the US would tell Pakistan to act with resolve and urgency and cooperate fully and transparently in hunting down the perpetrators of the terror strikes.
