New Delhi : The government Thursday appointed three more directors to the board of the fraud-hit Satyam Computer Services, including Tarun Das, the chief mentor of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
The other two members announced by Corporate Affairs Minister P.C. Gupta are T.N. Manoharan, a reputed chartered accountant, and Suryakant Balakrishnan, a nominee of the Life Insurance Corp of India (LIC).
While Manoharan is a past president of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of India (ICAI), Balakrishnan represents LIC which is one of the largest investors in Satyam Computer Services.
The IT major is facing a financial mess because of a Rs.70 billion ($1.43 billion) fraud admitted last week by its founder and former chairman B. Ramalinga Raju.
